That not so flaky 'Individualism'

Human beings are so flaky,
Lose their beliefs so easily,
Yet take ages to steady their faith.
They talk big, achieve too little,
Preaching more than they practice.
They see love as a burden,
Concern as blame,
Guidance as intrusion.

Unfit for the times we live in,
My journey is to be that individual who builds the collective.
How can you be an individual in an era
Where individualism blinds and binds
People to their lesser selves?

It's letting the tramples go unnoticed,
Letting tragedies grace you, pass unbothered,
Fending off insults and insinuations, leaving the beauty of your heart undisturbed.
For the journey of a thousand miles,
The first step is forgiveness,
The next is to resolve the myth of "individualism"!
