Between the dream and reality,
choose reality —
for the dreams are a trail of yesterday's paths.
Between aspiration and the moment,
choose the moment —
for aspiration belongs to winds of tomorrow.
Whatever I accomplished
were gifts granted to me.
Whatever I lost
Never meant to belong to me;
They were only returned.
Blessed am I
for what was given.
Blessed am I
for what I could return.
Happiness and sorrow
arise from receiving and returning.
Knowing this,
why cling to either?
